NEW STATE CHAMPION

Those of us who were privileged enough to attend the 4A State Wrestling Tournament on Saturday were witness to one of the most exciting matches one of our athletes has ever competed in. Bryce Scuimbato the 125 pound Hornet wrestler put on a show for the entire crowd at the Pepsi Center in Denver. It was on Friday night that Bryce pulled off what others thought would be impossible, he beat the nationally ranked defending state champion. On Saturday night Bryce pulled off something that had not been done at County in 19 years. He became a State Champion in wrestling. The entire hornet community wants to thank Bryce for his awesome, and inspiring win at the State Tournament.
