Mission Statement

Stands for:             El Pomar Youth in Community Service

EPYCS is the 2^nd largest student philanthropic organization in the country. Its purpose is to promote leadership, service, and philanthropy among high school students. Students are expected to run the organization, make the decisions, and meet all deadlines.

Students must:

            Survey the student body and develop a mission statement based on school input

            Raise at least $500 (El Pomar will then contribute $7500)

            Evaluate grants in the spring and distribute monies to district organizations and community non-profit organizations.

Students also participate in:

            TLC food drive (city wide)

            Local community projects
