Pueblo County High School Bulletin for Wednesday, April 18, 2018

SCHOLARSHIPS ATTENTION SENIORS!! If you have been awarded a scholarship, please let your counselors know. Bring them a copy of the paperwork showing your Scholarship information so you will be honored at the Green and Gold Ceremony! Thank you!


PHEF SCHOLARSHIP Seniors if you received an email stating you will be receiving a PHEF scholarship you need to go to the PHEF website. You will then need to go to apply or register and it will take you to the correct place to accept the scholarship.


HAT DAY Students: Wednesday we will be selling $1.00 tickets in the morning outside of Mrs. Downs room for Hat Day. Please see her if you would like to purchase a ticket to wear a hat. All proceeds will go to support two of our very own: Daisy and George James as their mom battles cancer. Please help us help them and purchase a ticket to wear a hat.


Football Attention football players If you are going to the UNC football camp this summer please get your registration and money into Coach Wilson as soon as possible. Registration forms can be turned in anytime, the money for the camp is due May 9. Also, please pick up a letter in the office regarding transportation to this camp. If there is enough interest a bus may be used to transport players to UNC.


softball There will be a meeting for all softball players Wednesday right after school in the coaches room. Please bring your summer schedules so I can put together our summer workout schedule. We will also have a Chipotle fundraiser. It is May 12th.


SUMMER READING PROGRAM Any student interested in participating in the Pueblo City-County Library Summer Reading Program, please pick up a form from Mrs. Stice in the library. Forms are due back to Mrs. Stice on April 30.


PROM PARKING Prom Parking Information: Students please remember to park in the parking lots on either side of the art center. Parking in the old Rojas’ location is not allowed and may result in a ticket or being towed. Thank you. Have a great week.


CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT Make sure and sign up for the FFA Cornhole tournament on Thursday during Talegate. Team entries are $5 and the winning team will receive half of the pot! Sign up by Wednesday in the Ag classroom.


SCREAM CAST Attention cast and company of the play Scream. There will be a very quick and important meeting in the drama room immediately after school Please attend or contact Ms P to get information.


Staff Parking Students: Please make sure that you are NOT parking in staff parking in the different lots. In the parking lot behind the Commons Area, there is specific parking for the lunch ladies that is marked by signs. In the West Parking lot (the lot by the old main entrance) the row closest to the sidewalk, is staff parking. In the parking lot with the solar panels, there is designated parking for office staff and the Wellness Center. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

TAILGATE It is that time of year again!! TAILGATE!! Student Leadership will do its charity fundraiser on April 19th. Tickets will go on sale April 16th. The sooner you buy your tickets, the cheaper they are. Check the signs in the halls for details.

Final SAT Prep The final prep session for SAT will be held from 9-11Am on Friday, April 6th. A summary of English, Math and Reading will be covered. Please sign up in the counselor’s office if you plan to attend. All juniors will be taking the SAT on Tuesday, April 10th.

Rocky Mountain Youth Leadership FoundationCurrent juniors…… if you are a serious academic studnet with good grades there is an excellent Leadership Conference that you may be able to attend free of charge. It is offered June 25th-29th at UCCS. See Mrs. Stepan immediately if you are interested.

Footloose Helpers Attention Drama Club Members: If you are wanting to work backstage for Footloose please go talk to Mr. A. and plan on attending rehearsals starting today.


PSAT10 Sophomores-You will be taking the PSAT10 on Thursday, April 12. Breakfast will be available at 7:00 in the Commons and students will report to their testing rooms by 7:30. No food or drink are allowed in testing rooms. Please check the rosters in the social studies hall and by the counselors office for your testing room. Please bring your calculator. Do not bring backpacks or any electronic devices.

JROTC BLOOD DRIVE PCHS Hornet Battalion hosts and supports a temporary community Blood Donation Center operated by Bonfils on Thursday, April 5th, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. The Blood Drive will be held in the Auxiliary Gym. Our Goal is to collect 30 liters of blood to help replenish the Colorado Blood Supply. PLEASE SIGN UP DURING LUNCH AND SUPPORT THIS EVENT!
