Pueblo County High School Bulletin for Thursday, January 19, 2017

Student Leadership Student Leadership is sponsoring a contest for cutest Snoball proposals. Submit entries to Stuco twitter or instagram pages. Winner will receive dinner and a movie. Contest ends the day of Snoball.


Guests Students planning on bringing a guest to the dance don’t forget to get a guest pass signed and returned by Thursday the 19th.


National Letter of Intent Attention Seniors. If you are going to sign a letter of Intent to play in college we would like to know. This is a big accomplishment and we would like to honor those athletes continuing their playing careers in college. The NLI signing date is Feb 1. Please notify Mr. Downs if you are planning to sign that day. 


NHS Meeting There will be an NHS meeting this week Wednesday, the 18th @ 3:30 or Thursday, the 19th @7:05. Please plan to attend one of the meetings.


FIREFIGHTER EXPLORER PROGRAM “Firefighter – Anyone, male or female, who may be interested in learning what it takes to become a firefighter.” The Pueblo City Fire Department will be hosting their annual Fire Explorer application/informational night Friday, Jan 20st @ 7:00 pm. The location is the new Fire Station #4 – 2201 Lake Ave. Learn how to: rescue people from car wrecks using the jaws of life, rescue victims in burning buildings, river rescue, rappelling, wildland firefighting, get CPR and First Aid certified, and much more. Minimum qualifications are: You must be in high school or college ages 14-20. College Visit Juniors and Seniors – A representative from Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology will be making a presentation here on Wednesday, Jan. 18. If you would like to attend, please sign up on the counselor’s bulletin board.


National Honor Society National Honor Society applications are due to Mrs. Sherwood no later than Wednesday, January 18th. If you need an application they are in a box outside of her office.

Boys Volleyball Parent Meeting Attention boys interested in playing Volleyball this Spring. On Wednesday January 18 there will be a parent/student meeting for all boys interested in playing volleyball this Spring. The meeting will start at 6:00 pm in the Commons Area.

LOVE GIVES STRENGTH RAFFLE Hey County, we will be doing a raffle for the “Love Gives Strength” collection. If you bring in a donation to the basketball game on the 17th, you will receive a ticket for the drawing at 3rd Quarter for a MOVIE BASKET!
