Pueblo County High School Bulletin for Thursday, February 04, 2016...

Redstone College Seniors and Juniors – If you would like to attend a presentation by Redstone College located in Denver please sign up on the counselor’s bulletin board. Redstone College is a technical college offering 2 year degrees in air craft mechanics, avionics, wind energy, and HVAC.


Visit to Otero Junior College Any junior or senior who thinks they may want to attend Otero Junior College after graduation may attend a visit day. Otero will provide a bus to transport you to LaJunta for the day. Please sign up on the counselors bulletin board if you are interested.


Snowball Dance Attention Students: If you are planning on going to the Snowball Dance and your date is NOT a CURRENT student at County High, you MUST have a guest dance pass signed and turned in to the office by Thursday, February 3rd. Non County High Students MUST have a guest dance pass to be able to attend the Snowball Dance. Also, any student who is planning on attending the Snowball Dance, you MUST be dressed in semi-formal attire. There will be NO t-shirts, jeans or hats (beanie, baseball, cowboy, etc…)allowed in to the dance.


NHS Polar Plunge Anyone interested in participating in the Polar Plunge please see Mrs. Sherwood or a NHS member for more information. All NHS members please continue to recruit team members and collect donations.


Lamar Community College Seniors – IF you are still deciding what to do after high school, you may want to sign up for the presentation with Lamar Community College on Feb. 16. They have several Career Tech Programs including Agriculture, Horse Training Management, Equine Business Management, Barrel Horse Training, Animal Science, Bookkeeping, Cosmetology, Sports and Fitness Management, Welding and many more. If interested, sign up on the counselors bulletin board.


Congratulations to Girls Swimming! Congratulations to the girls swim team for their final dual meet victory over Pueblo Central last night 117 to 64. This means the seniors have never lost a swim meet in their High School career! Individual winners were: Brittany Bland-200 IM, Jules Krinsky-50 Freestyle, Kelsi Gradisar-100 Butterfly, Mikayla Ellinger-50 Freestyle, Alexa Musso-100 Back and Brenna Johonson-100 Breststroke. The Hornets swim their League Championships this Friday and Saturday at Centennial High School.

Western State Visit A Western State Colorado University representative will be here on February 3 to present information about this college. If you are a junior or senior and would like to attend, please sign up on the counselor’s bulletin board.

Spirit Week Good morning Hornets, As you know next week is Snoball week. So just a quick reminder about spirit days. Monday is generation day: that means Freshmen you are babies, Sophomores you are toddlers to preteens, Juniors you are middle aged, and Seniors you are Senior citizens Tuesday: Tacky Tourist day Wednesday: Favorite Character day Thursday: Green and Gold day Please show your spirit and join us in the fun for the week.

NHS Meeting There will be a mandatory meeting today after school in Mrs. Burke’s room for all NHS members.
