Lion’s Club Scholarship Seniors……the Lion’s Club has extended the deadline for their scholarship. Please see Naviance for details. Students must have a 3.8 cumulative GPA and a 1070 SAT or 22 ACT score to be eligible for the $2,000 scholarship. The deadline has been extended until May 15, 2018.


ARTS ACADEMY A county high a few great announcements from the arts academies vocal and instrumental music department’s 1st of all May 17th we will be holding a jazz night with live music and a dinner for $10 all are invited but hurry because tickets are going fast. There will be a silent auction on some original paintings and then presentations from all choirs and bands. Also the arts Academy has just added a percussion class for next year. Have you always been interested in drumming or other profession? You need no previous experience sign up with your counselors today

You will not receive your diploma if you have any unpaid fines. GIRL’S GOLF Congrats to the Lady Hornet Golf Team! They finished 2nd as a team in their regional golf tournament, qualifying as a team for state. Sarah DeCarlo finished 6th, Tori Martinez 7th, Brayden Danielson 13th, and Emmy Martinez 13th. They will compete at the State tournament May 21st-22nd here in Pueblo at Elmwood Golf Course. Good luck Hornets!

We will be honoring 4 year letter winners, three sport athlete letter winners and State Champions. In addition, we have some very special awards to present All athletes who lettered during the school year will receive a free ticket for the banquet, which must be picked up in the athletic office. Reservations and payment for the meal for any guest attending are required in advance. Reservations and payment can be made with Shannon Keasling in the athletic office. All reservations and payments must be made May 3rd, 2018, the cost of the athletic banquet is $20.00. Walk-ins will not be allowed the night of the banquet.

ART SHOW We are having our Art Show in the Commons Area Hall this week! Please do not touch the art work. It is for viewing only! A lot of time and effort was put into these pieces, so please be respectful.

It is mandatory for you to please attend a short meeting on Monday May 7th after school in the Auditorium Theatre. If there is enough interest a bus may be used to transport players to UNC.


Staff Parking Students: Please make sure that you are NOT parking in staff parking in the different lots. In the parking lot behind the Commons Area, there is specific parking for the lunch ladies that is marked by signs. In the West Parking lot (the lot by the old main entrance) the row closest to the sidewalk, is staff parking.
